01:45 EDT - Olympus America will today announce a new super-zoom digital camera, the Camedia C-730UZ (as seems to be the norm these days, the people in Europe have apparently been given a different time to the US, and since this information is now public knowledge we are going ahead too).

This new model follows in the footsteps of the company's previous C-700 Ultra Zoom, and the successor C-720 Ultra Zoom. The C-730UZ features a 10x optical zoom as in the former model, and a 3 megapixel imager similar to the latter (which had "only" an 8x optical zoom).
