PRESS RELEASE: Kodak Helps Improve Productivity with New KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper Rolls

ORLANDO, Fla., February 20 - Responding to the positive response by professional photographers to Kodak's introduction of professional cut sheet inkjet paper in mid-2004, Eastman Kodak Company today announced KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper in long-roll sizes for professional and advanced amateur (AdAm) photographers. The new inkjet long-roll format will further meet the demands of professional photographers by delivering increased printing efficiencies.

KODAK PROFESSIONAL inkjet media long-rolls have the same high-quality, instant-dry paper characteristics as the popular cut sheet paper, and are available in lustre (E-surface) and glossy (F-surface) finishes. The long-roll paper is compatible with EPSON Stylus Pro wide-format printers.

Featuring a true photographic base with high-quality pulp and state-of-the-art paper chemistry, the long-roll inkjet photo paper delivers outstanding image quality, whiter whites, accurate flesh-tone reproduction, and a wide color gamut - without the distracting surface defects often observed with prints from pigmented ink printers.

"We're applying Kodak's history and expertise in photographic paper technology and color science in the long-roll marketplace," said John Blake, general manager, Professional Output Group, Digital and Film Imaging Systems, Eastman Kodak Company. "This new roll paper blends consistent color reproduction with the outstanding quality of KODAK prints, further demonstrating the advancement of our portfolio to meet the particular needs of professionals and AdAms."

Available in 24-inch-wide, 16-inch-wide and 10-inch-wide by 100-foot rolls, KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper gives photographers increased productivity and efficiency in their printing workflow. The rolls are an effective in-studio printing solution, allowing photographers the ability to offer rapid delivery of enlargements to customers.

When used with the custom ICC color profiles, which have been developed for EPSON wide-format printers, the paper delivers bright, saturated color and sharp detail. The lustre (E-surface) and glossy (F-surface) finish options allow photographers to produce prints in the studio, allowing them to make quick reprints, proofs and final additions to a customer's order. Its 'look and feel' gives photographers the capability to deliver a blend of KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper with lab prints, accommodating varying customer requests.

KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper rolls will be available worldwide beginning in April 2005. They will retail for US$118 (MSRP) for the 24-inch by 100-foot rolls, US$84 (MSRP) for the 16-inch by 100-foot rolls and US$60 (MSRP) for the 10-inch by 100-foot rolls.
