KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology Now Available at Retail with KODAK Kiosks and DLS Minilabs, at Home with KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Plus, and Online with the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery

ORLANDO, Fla., February 20 — Eastman Kodak Company today announced that its KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology would be offered across an expanded set of digital printing systems worldwide, including KODAK Picture Maker and new KODAK Picture Kiosks, new DLS minilabs, the KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Plus, and the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery (Kodak’s online photo service formerly known as Ofoto).

People can now receive real KODAK pictures with phenomenal image quality when printing their digital images at retail, at home, and online. Recent consumer research from Kodak indicates that image quality ranks as the most important print attribute for consumers.

“We are taking one of our most significant innovations in image science — KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology — and applying it across our portfolio to provide high quality digital pictures to consumers,” said Bernard Masson, president, Digital & Film Imaging Systems; and senior vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. “Kodak is committed to providing the best possible quality at retail, online, and at home. With KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology, we are making it as easy as possible for people to enjoy and share both once-in-a-lifetime and everyday moments through real KODAK pictures.”

First launched in the United States in July 2003, KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology automatically enhances each image to improve poorly exposed or backlit pictures, using a combination of Kodak’s proprietary image science and KODAK consumables such as photo papers. The resulting picture improvements allow people to relive their moments the way they remember them.

At retail, KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology individually analyzes and digitally processes each picture to lessen red-eye, reveal more vibrant colors and bring out richer detail with fewer dark shadows. With the addition of KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology to pictures made with KODAK Picture Makers and KODAK Picture Kiosks, people can be assured they are receiving high quality pictures in minutes at retail.

Also, new KODAK DLS software-enabled minilabs — including the NORITSU System 33 DLS Series and KIS System 80 DLS Series — will be equipped with KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology. Consumers can now receive digitally-enhanced pictures in about one hour from their film negatives and/or digital images, as well as being able to order pictures enhanced by KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology through off-site lab services.

Real KODAK Pictures at Home and Online
KODAK PERFECT TOUCH technology will now be offered on the KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Plus. With a single touch of the auto enhance button, people can create real KODAK pictures at home that are better and brighter thanks to KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology.

In addition, KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology is applied to all KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery print orders, as it has been since May 2004 in the U.S.

The rollout of KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology around the globe will occur throughout 2005. Products and services carrying the KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology seal will assure consumers that they are receiving the best possible digital print quality from Kodak. Kodak will support the expanded availability of the technology through various marketing efforts.
