As you might expect, Olympus Corp. has one of the larger booths at PMA, with the company showing off pretty much its entire range of imaging products.

Olympus had a whole raft of announcements in the leadup to PMA, with standouts including three fixed aperture zoom lenses for the E-System digital SLR family, and additions to the company's "Total Imaging Solution" - a group of products designed for compatibility, ease-of-use, and a rather "Apple-esque" minimalist fashion sense. (Indeed, Olympus had one of Apple's iMac computers alongside the products, perhaps to imply the kinship). New "Total Imaging Solution" products include the five megapixels, 3x optical zoom i:robe IR-300 digital camera, and the S-DVD-100 DVD/CD writer for image backup.

Other new products from Olympus include an update to the five megapixel update to the Stylus Verve, the five megapixel, 3x optical zoom Camedia D-630 Zoom, and the entry-level four megapixel, 3x optical zoom Camedia D-545Z. The D-630 Zoom has a very interesting design ethic - perhaps somewhat industrial design-influenced, you're likely to love it or hate it. The lens barrel has a definite coolness factor for the way that as it extends, the off-center optical path "rotates" The company is also launching one gigabyte xD-Picture cards, and new underwater housings for the Stylus 500 and C-7070 Wide Zoom digital cameras, as well as for the Evolt E-300 Digital SLR, three of its Zuiko Digital Specific Lenses, and the FL-36 Flash.
