Smartparts logo. PRESS RELEASE: Smartparts Extends Innovative SyncPix™ Family of Digital Picture Frames With Three New Models

SyncPix Digital Picture Frames Address Consumer Demand For Simplicity

Las Vegas, NV (January 31, 2008) - Smartparts, Inc., a leading manufacturer and innovator driving the explosive digital picture frame market, announced three new innovative SyncPix™ digital picture frames at PMA 2008. Smartparts' advanced family of digital picture frames, SyncPix boasts unprecedented functionality and has earned critical acclaim since its introduction in 2007 including top honors from a leading consumer magazine in December. The three new models will be on display at the Smartparts booth in the South Hall, #U171.

"Since its initial launch, Smartparts' SyncPix digital picture frames have set a new standard in the industry," said Stefan Guelpen, president and co-founder of Smartparts. "Unlike anything else on the market today, these are intelligent frames that do all of the work for a consumer when it comes to loading and displaying pictures."

SyncPix digital picture frames are totally integrated and have fully automated solutions that do not require the need of a computer. Typically, consumers need to utilize software on a computer to optimize and resize their images for display on their frames; however, with SyncPix, images are automatically straightened, resized and copied directly from the inserted memory card. Users can feel assured that only new images on their memory card will be transferred to the frame, as SyncPix will automatically recognize which images are already stored in its internal memory. This feature comes in handy especially for consumers who are reluctant to delete images from their memory cards.

SyncPix digital picture frames automatically rotate images. Additionally, thanks to the built-in functionality that resizes images to fit the resolution of the frame, consumers are able to maximize the internal memory and store up to 3,000 pictures on a SyncPix frame. Fully interactive, SyncPix digital picture frames provide consumers with information regarding the status of the images they transfer, including graphical representation of the time remaining, time elapsed, and how much usable memory is left on the frame.

SyncPix digital picture frames will not alter consumers' original photos. SyncPix first creates copies which are then optimized and transferred to the frame, leaving the original, untouched photo residing on the memory card. Should a consumer wish to transfer images to a SyncPix digital picture frame from their computer, they can easily connect the frame via USB cable and resize their files using the SyncPix Desktop Software, available for download at www.syncpix.com.

SyncPix Desktop Software features a content based scaling option, which consumers can use to properly optimize their 4:3 images for display on a 16:9 frame. By using specially programmed algorithms, the SyncPix Desktop Software will crop a consumer's 4:3 image to 16:9, making sure that key subject matter within a picture is not lost or stretched.

SyncPix digital picture frames give consumers the ability to organize their images into themed photo albums. When transferring images to the frame, consumers can assign their pictures to one of six existing folders, including Family, Holiday, and Travel. For added customization, consumers can utilize the SyncPix Desktop Software to personalize the frames' photo album options to their desire.

All SyncPix digital picture frames feature a motion sensor that will turn on and off the LCD screen pending movement in the surrounding environment, a useful power-saving function.

With the SyncPix frames, consumers can play video clips with sound from most digital cameras without the need of specialized video modes. Adding to the versatility of the frames, video clips can be played within a selected slideshow without having to set the frame into a specified video mode. Users can utilize the easy navigation film strip to access other images while displaying the slideshow.

All new SyncPix frames accept most popular memory cards, including Secure Digital (SD), Memory Stick (MS), and xD Picture Card and Compact Flash (CF).

The new SyncPix digital picture frames include new sizes and a sleek, slim and stylish design:
