Dave Etchells hands-on with Toshiba's latest 3mpix digicam...
Toshiba is carving out a niche for theselves for very full-featured cameras at very low price points. The latest in this trend is the PDR-M71, a three megapixel model that's listed for only $499.
In our testing, we found that Toshiba has made great strides in the area of color, to the extent that we think most consumers will find the M71's color bright and pleasing. We faulted Toshiba though, for dropping the flash connection of the earlier M70 model, and for what we felt was excessive chromatic aberration in the corners of the frame.
Overall though, a notable bargain in a full-control three megapixel camera. Check it out! When you're done, you can get a second opinion from our friends at Steve's Digicams...
