Jeff Keller tries out Canon's 10x optical zoom digital camcorder...

Our friend Jeff Keller of the DVSpot website has today posted his review of Canon's ZR25 MC digital camcorder, the mid-range sibling of the ZR20 and ZR30 MC models. All three camcorders feature a 10x optical zoom lens and 460,000 pixel CCD imager (290,000 pixels effective); the ZR25 MC adds MultiMediaCard / Secure Digital storage and a Progressive Photo Mode, whilst the ZR30 MC has backlit VCR buttons (bizarrely, with a user-selectable backlight color), along with an Extended Recording mode and Advanced Accessory Shoe. Jeff concludes:
"The ZR25 MC (and the similar ZR20 and ZR30 MC) was easy to hold and use, had a good feature set, and has a low price. It also has analog line-in for converting old video. On the downside, it's low light shooting and still shots aren't great."
