Service offers a way to back up individual albums or entire Club Photo accounts...

Club Photo Inc. has now officially launched the photos-on-CD service which we first told you about back in July. Two options are offered - the ability to have one album of up to 60 images backed up on CD for $7.95, or to have an entire account backed up onto as many as 10 sequentially numbered CDs for $49.95. On top of this cost, there are shipping costs starting at $2 for standard delivery.

Similar services are available from other online photofinishers. SnapFish.com Corp. charges $9.99 per CD with 50 photos included, and $3.99 per 25 extra photos, up to a maximum of 500 photos per CD. Ofoto meanwhile charges variable pricing starting at $9.95 for the first 50 photos and gradually going up to $40 for 1000 photos, after which each extra 1000 photos cost $14.95. Club Photo's new service looks to be the current cheapest...
