Contax UK announces N Digital pricing, availability!

British bundle for the N Digital will contain different items to that in Japan...
We have been in contact with Kyocera Yashica (UK) Ltd. regarding our previous news item regarding the Japanese pricing and availability for the Contax N Digital, a single-lens reflex digicam that uses a full 35mm-frame sized 6 megapixel sensor, and now can offer details for the British market on the camera. It transpires that the bundle to be offered with the camera in the UK will be quite different, and a simple conversion of the Japanese price also ignores sales tax and import duties.
From our discussions with Kyocera, the camera bundle for the UK will include the following: - Contax N Digital SLR body
- Contax Software
- Fast charger (90 minutes from flat)
- 1800mAh NiMH batteries
- 256MB 24X CompactFlash card
- System case
The Contax N Digital will be available in the UK in the first week of June, and will sell with this bundle at a cost of £5999. The rest of Europe will, we're told, have a different bundle and pricing.
