Six megapixel low-cost (but high-spec, considering the price) digital SLR can now be ordered once more...

We've just been alerted by our affiliate Ritz Camera that they are now accepting pre-orders for the Nikon D100 digital camera for just $1999.95. We've had numerous emails from readers asking when and where they could purchase this much-anticipated new model, and if the volume of mails is anything to go by we highly recommend placing an order as soon as possible. Canon's EOS D60 has been in tight supply since it shipped, and we'd expect the same to occur with the Nikon camera; demand is likely to keep in-stock D100s a very scarce item for a while!

Click here to place your pre-order and get your D100 as soon as possible! Ritz's price of $1999.95 includes a low-price and satisfaction guarantee, free shipping and handling, no sales tax to pay, and you can be confident the camera you're getting comes with a full US warranty.

If you're one of the lucky few who pre-ordered back when the initial pre-order list was (briefly) available, you don't need to do so again. If you signed up for our 'preorder notification service', note that you are *not* preordered through the service. You should have an email already to let you know that preorders are now possible, but you will still need to click the link and place the preorder itself to get your place in queue reserved.
