Dave tries out Fuji's compact 2 megapixel digicam...

This is a neat-looking little package from Fuji, very slim and compact. (Slightly thicker than Minolta's Dimage X, but a roughly similar square format.) The 401's 2.1 megapixel SuperCCD produces interpolated files 4 megapixels in size. This is a nice little camera, great for novice users on the go, although I felt that its color rendition was only average.

A surprise to me, as I've come to expect really excellent color from Fuji digicams. Image noise also seemed a bit high. The 401's photos aren't at all bad though, and its both compact and very stylish. This could make a nice "pocket" camera, with more features than some ultra-compacts carry. Check it out!
