It seems to be Vivitar week as we work through the various announcements by the company at PMA, and we still have two more to come after this one!

The Vivitar ViviCam 3715 features a 3.3 megapixel CCD imager coupled with a 5.9mm fixed focal-length lens, 1.5" LCD display plus info LCD, 8MB of built-in storage plus an SD card slot, and power from AA batteries. This model should be available in April at a suggested price of about $200...

A stylish, compact, 3.3 MP digital camera with 2X Digital Zoom at a family-friendly price

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 2, 2003)- Vivitar Corporation announces the ViviCam 3715 product available in April 2003. The V3715 is a compact, feature-packed, 3.3 MP digital zoom camera. The V3715 is an affordable choice for anyone seeking a versatile, high quality digital camera.

The stylish V3715 is equipped with a 3.3 megapixel CCD image sensor. Its fixed-focus lens has with both macro and infinity settings, complemented with 2X digital zoom capability. Images may be reviewed on the 1.5" LCD display. Sample images from the V3715 can be viewed and downloaded from the V3715 image gallery on the Vivitar website beginning in March.

The V3715 offers imaging versatility. Users may select from three resolution settings up to 2048 x 1536. The V3715 is an ideal camera for all your digital imaging needs ranging from email and web applications to images that are ready for print. Quality 11" x 17" prints are not a problem with the V3715.

The V3715 comes with 8 MB internal memory. Memory capacity may be extended using Secure Digital memory cards. MGI Photo Suite SE and Photo Vista editing software are included with the camera.

Other features include movie mode, web cam mode, automatic white balance, exposure compensation control, built-in flash, and a 10-second self-timer. The V3715 comes with USB and video output cables to download images for viewing and editing. 2 AA alkaline batteries, or a single CR-V3 lithium pack supply power.

The suggested retail price for the camera is $199.95. The V3715 may be purchased at mass merchandisers, consumer electronic stores and other Vivitar resellers nationwide.
