Funtigo logo PRESS RELEASE: Funtigo photo sharing site adds support for camera-phones

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 25, 2003 - Funtigo LLC announced today that its photo sharing website, www.funtigo.com, now enables their users to upload photos from camera-phones. In addition, Funtigo introduced high-resolution slideshows, a large number of new backgrounds and clipart, and an entirely new interface. Funtigo is best known for its user-friendly "click-and-drag" interface, which, according to the company, makes Funtigo easier to use and more flexible than any other photo site.

With Funtigo's support for camera-phones, Funtigo users no longer have to wait until they're on a PC before sharing their photos with colleagues, friends or family. By simply emailing the photos to a Funtigo email address from their camera-phones, their photos are automatically routed to their own photoblog and published live along with a date and time stamp. When users later log on to Funtigo from their PC they can also place these photos into specific albums, along with text, backgrounds, clipart, or previously uploaded photos.

Research firm Future Image expects that by mid-2004 worldwide sales of camera-phones could exceed the combined total sales of regular digital cameras and those using film. Adding camera phone support and photoblogging capabilities will leverage Funtigo's strength of user friendliness and flexibility, according to Alexis Gerard, president and founder of Future Image.

"The combination of camera-phones and multi-contributor, interactive photo sharing spaces (called Photoblogs) is the most exciting "one-two punch" for the imaging industry in recent memory. Funtigo is showing how a company that takes a fresh approach to providing value to customers can rapidly rise to prominence in this space. They have some exciting times ahead."

Along with the camera-phone support, Funtigo also added a range of new features, including a totally new interface, support for resolution-independent Flash clipart, and over 500 additional Web backgrounds.

Founded in 2002, Funtigo LLC is a privately held company, based in San Francisco, California.
