Nikon USA has announced price cuts and rebates on a number of products across its Coolpix digital camera and Coolscan film scanner lines.

The digital camera price drops, which are from $50 to $300 below the prices initially set when the cameras were first announced, are as follows:
  • Nikon Coolpix 2100 digital camera - originally $249.95, now $199
  • Nikon Coolpix 3100 digital camera - originally $349.95, now $299
  • Nikon Coolpix 4300 - originally $499.95, now $399
  • Nikon Coolpix 5400 - originally $799.95, now $699
  • Nikon Coolpix 5700 - originally $1199.95, now $899
The scanner rebates, meanwhile, are as follows:
  • Nikon Super Coolscan IV ED - $200 mail-in rebate
  • Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 ED - $200 mail-in rebate
  • Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED - $500 mail-in rebate

These include the Nikon Coolpix 2100 and 3100, Coolpix 4300, Coolpix 5400 and Coolpix 5700.
