Pictographics Expands Licensing Program

The color engine behind the iCorrect suite is now available for licensing as code libraries or DLLs. And the company has launched a Web site to support the expanded program.

Pictographics has expanded its color technology licensing program to include the color engines behind their award-winning iCorrect and iCorrect EditLab products. At the same time, they have launched a new technology licensing Web site at http://www.pictographicsint.com to support the program.

Pictographics is not new to the technology licensing business. For many years they have licensed their CandelaColor digital color technology, an ICC compatible set of color management library tools, to companies like The Walt Disney Company (film animation), Primera Technology (CD label printing and publishing), and Data Card (Photo ID system) among others. CandelaColor Suite is regarded by many as the premier set of color management algorithms for creating and managing accurate color from image capture, to display, to final output, the company said.

Their newest technology offerings -- CandelaColor Correct and CandelaColor Edit, previously available only in our iCorrect and iCorrect EditLab plug-ins and applications -- are now available as libraries or callable DLLs under our Digital Color Technology Licensing Program.

"These revolutionary 'point-and-click' color correction and editing products have been heralded by reviewers and users as the fastest, easiest, and most accurate color correction products available," said Wayne R. Huelskoetter, Pictographics president. "By making this technology available, software developers will now be able to easily integrate it into their products and give their customers the ability to quickly and easily Make The Color Right."

In addition to licensing the technology libraries Pictographics also offers customized OEM versions of their end-user products. "For example, a version of our iCorrect EditLab Stand-Alone Application will be released shortly by an OEM client under a different brand name. We have also created special versions of our plug-in products for bundling with specific photo editing applications," Huelskoetter noted.

Pictographics offers a variety of licensing alternatives ranging from per unit royalties to fully paid-up licenses. For additional information regarding technology licensing or OEM opportunities, visit the new technology Web site.
