Nikon to Sponsor Team Photo Day with Free Team Photos to the First 25,000 Fans on September 12th

MELVILLE, NY - September 8, 2004 - On Sunday, September 12, 2004, Nikon will team up with the New York Mets to host "Nikon Team Photo Day" at Shea Stadium. As the Mets take on the Philadelphia Phillies at 1:10 pm, the first 25,000 fans in attendance will receive a free 14"x11" photo print of the 2004 New York Mets. In addition, Mr. Toshiyuki Masai, president and CEO of Nikon Inc, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to start the game.

"Nikon is proud to partner with the New York Mets and, as a Long Island-based company, we are pleased to be able to support our local team," said Anna Marie Bakker, general manager of communications for Nikon Inc. "As the leader in photography and digital imaging, we can not think of a better way to support the Mets and recognize some of the most loyal baseball fans in the country than through our sponsorship of Team Photo Day at Shea Stadium."

The photo, taken by the Mets official team photographer and legendary Nikon shooter Marc Levine, is a special limited-edition print that will be distributed at the entrance of the stadium and is not available anywhere else.
Nikon employees have also been given the opportunity to participate in this year's Team Photo Day with more than 400 Nikon employees and their families expected to attend. In addition, 20 lucky Nikon employees have won the opportunity to take batting practice on the field earlier that day.
For both Mets fans and Nikon employees alike, this year's Team Photo Day promises to be a picture-perfect day at the ballpark.
