Konica Minolta UK: New DiMAGE E50
By
(Monday, January 17, 2005 - 13:13 EST)

A press release today from Konica Minolta UK announces its new DiMAGE E50 digital camera, our friends at the Digital Photography Review report.

The camera, for which specs can be found in DPReview's news item, is essentially identical to Minox's DC 5222 model announced a few days ago, as well as Rollei's Prego dp5200 from last November (although the styling of that model is slightly different).

The Konica Minolta DiMAGE E50 digital camera features a 1/2.5" five megapixel CCD imager, 32-96mm Konica Minolta-branded 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5" TFT LCD display, SD card storage, and power from a proprietary Lithium Ion rechargeable battery. The camera has dimensions of 89 x 55 x 28mm, weighs 130 grams, and is available in the UK immediately at a price of £199 (roughly equivalent to US$370, ignoring exchange rate fluctuations, taxes and duties).
