LAS VEGAS, January 3, 2006 -- Lexar Media, Inc. (NASDAQ: LEXR), a leader in advanced digital media and accessories, this week at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will showcase its wide range of flash memory cards that maximize the functionality and performance of advanced mobile phones and handheld multimedia devices. Lexar's full line of mobile memory storage products has expanded to include the compact SD™ and MMC™ form factors in a wider variety of capacities up to 2GB, enough to handle the broad range of special applications from computer files to games, music, video, images and more.

"Based on current trends, in 2006 we believe the number of mobile phones with card slots will increase to more than 330 million and consumer acceptance of content features and services will rise to an all time high," said Jim Gustke, vice president and general manager of memory cards at Lexar. Complete Family of Lexar Memory Cards for Mobile Devices
Lexar's line of mobile storage memory products includes a variety of both SD cards and MMC cards, with a broad range of memory capacities, speeds and specialized applications. The new mobile line includes all the popular portable media formats including:

SD™ Cards: A High Performance Interface for multimedia applications, Lexar's new SD cards feature built-in security applications for storing and playing secure content, in capacities from 256MB to 2GB.

MiniSD™ Cards: Lexar's expanded line of MiniSD Cards offer high-performance functionality at half the size of a conventional SD card. They also include built-in security features, and include an adaptor for use in all SD products (in capacities from 256MB to 1GB).

MicroSD™ Cards: The ultra-compact design of Lexar's MicroSD cards make them ideal for use in mobile phones. They also include an adaptor so they can be used in all SD products (in capacities from 256MB to 512MB).

Lexar MMCmobile™: Lexar's new compact MMCmobile memory cards offer the same high-performance as the MMCplus universal cards at half the size. They also include an adaptor for use in all SD or MultiMediaCard products (in capacities from 256MB to 512MB).

Lexar MMCmicro™: Lexar's new ultra-compact MMCmicro memory cards offer the same high-performance as the MMCplus universal cards at a quarter of the size. They also include an adaptor for use in all SD or MultiMediaCard products (in capacities from 256 MB to 512 MB).
