PRESS RELEASE: New Lowepro Camera Straps Give Photographers Added Mobility, Flexibility And Camera Security

Constructed From Highest-Quality Materials, Four New Models Designed for Adventure, Sports, Journalism and Studio Photography

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. -- June 23, 2006 -- Lowepro, the worldwide leader of protective cases and backpacks for imaging products, is introducing four new camera straps designed with the same rugged and durable construction that has made Lowepro the leading manufacturer of protective cameras cases, backpacks and camera pouches for more than 35 years.

The new camera straps -- Speedster, Transporter, Voyager S and Voyager C -- designed for unique photography applications take every photographer's needs into consideration.

While on the run, photojournalists will appreciate the lightweight and simple design of the Speedster. Studio photographers will value the Transporter's adjustability and ease of use with multiple cameras, while nature photographers enjoy the soft, breathable neoprene construction of the Voyager on long hikes. Reflecting the unique needs of photographers, these camera straps provide the perfect upgrade to customize any photographer's equipment needs.

"Today's photographers are more mobile than ever before and need the added durability and security for their camera equipment, right down to the strap that secures the camera around their neck or shoulder," said Darren Hulsey, Product Manager at Lowepro. "The combination of their double ladder-lock attachment design for a secure connection and custom side-release buckles for quick and easy removal from the camera, our line of camera straps give photographers the flexibility needed to capture great images in any environment."

Speedster Camera Strap

Designed to be compact, lightweight and flexible, the Speedster is derived from the needs of active photographers and photojournalists. Woven nylon with anti-slip rubber thread woven in prevents slipping. Two side release buckles provide quick interchangeability with another camera body while double ladder-locks ensure camera stability.

Transporter Camera Strap

The Transporter was created for use with multiple cameras, binoculars and other photography equipment. The unique design of the Transporter allows the non-slip padding to stay in place while the strap may be adjusted to a variety of lengths or swung out of the way while using another device. A detachable memory card wallet provides quick access to cards while shooting. Two side release buckles provide quick interchangeability with another camera body while double ladder-locks ensure camera security.

Voyager S and Voyager C Camera Straps

The Voyager C (or contoured) and Voyager S (or straight) camera straps were designed for the unique needs of adventure photographers. The Voyager S is for photographers who prefer to sling the camera across their chest while the Voyager C, with its contoured design, offers additional comfort when carrying over the shoulder or the around the neck. The neoprene material provides a soft breathable surface, perfect for extended use with heavier camera equipment while the contoured design is comfortable over the shoulder or around the neck. A detachable memory card wallet provides quick access to cards on the run. Two side release buckles provide quick interchangeability with another body camera while double ladder-locks ensure camera security.

All four Lowepro camera straps are available in black and will be available mid-summer.
