OTTAWA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Corel Corporation today debuted the Snapfire "I'm Finally Going To Do Something With My Photos" Giveaway Contest on www.snapfire.com. The contest is designed to encourage millions of users to share the digital photos that are trapped on their cameras, camera phones and personal computers. All contestants have to do to enter is download Corel Snapfire - a breakthrough free digital photo and video sharing and enhancement software - at www.snapfire.com.

Throughout November and December, weekly random drawings will be held for an incredible Share Package that includes a Canon PIXMA iP 4300 photo inkjet printer, gift certificates to Webshots.com and Amazon.com, and Snapfire™ Plus, the enhanced version of the free Snapfire download, along with a variety of other fun giveaways that will help the winners to share their photos with friends and family. "We are giving users the opportunity to set their digital photo collections free," said Blaine Mathieu, General Manager of Corel's Digital Imaging Business. "Beautiful, original and funny photos that capture life's most memorable experiences are meant to be shared not trapped on PCs, cameras and other devices. The Snapfire experience is all about having fun with your photos - creating visually striking and personal slide shows, calendars, holiday cards and other creations that are simply a joy to receive. By downloading Snapfire at www.snapfire.com, users will find a way to set their photos free and make them more accessible to themselves and loved ones."

The late fall timeframe is an ideal period for organizing and sharing burgeoning photo collections. Millions of consumers have terrific photos of summer family vacations, graduations, weddings, showers and Halloween that they have yet to share with others. In fact, many consumers still have not taken inventory of their photos and simply are unaware of the photos that they have. Snapfire makes it easy to quickly organize and manage these collections through an easy-to-find filing system. From there, consumers can use Snapfire's creative templates to create visually stunning slide shows set to the music of their choice as well as create custom photo calendars, greeting cards and gifts.

The Snapfire "I'm Finally Going To Do Something With My Photos" contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada only (excluding Quebec residents). The contest is open from October 25, 2006 to November 30, 2006. To enter, users must visit.www.snapfire.com and download the free trial version of Corel Snapfire. From there, Corel's eStore will automatically enter contestants upon completion of the download. There is a limit of only one entry per person. Please see Corel's Official Rules for further details.

The contest runs for a five-week period from October 25 to November 30. Each week, one winner will receive a Share Package designed to help them organize and share their growing digital photo collections. The Share Package, a total $400 USD value, includes the following:
