Newest Version of Award-Winning Image Recovery Software Recovers Most Lost or Deleted Photo, Video, and Audio Files from Popular Flash Memory Card Formats

Fremont, CA , February 27, 2007 - Lexar, a leader in advanced digital media and accessories, today introduced Image Rescue™ 3, the new version of the company's award-winning image recovery software. In most circumstances, Lexar Image Rescue 3 allows users to recover lost or deleted photo, video, and audio files, regardless of flash memory card format, manufacturer, or mass storage compliant reader. Designed for both professionals and consumers alike, Image Rescue 3 boasts a redesigned, step-by-step interface that walks the user through the intuitive image recovery process, delivers extensive recovery capabilities, and offers a live online customer support chat link as an enhancement to its existing support features.

"Image Rescue 3 is designed to address the serious concerns of both professional photographers and the ever-expanding group of consumers that use flash memory for storing and sharing digital images, videos, and audio files on their cameras, MP3 players, and PDAs," said John Santoro, Senior Product Marketing Manager responsible for software, Lexar. "We are happy to extend the reach of this popular software to a wide audience while continuing to provide professional photographers with a reliable recovery application. Both consumer-level users and professionals can rest a bit easier knowing that the risk of permanently losing a favorite image, video, or song is now greatly reduced."

"As the volume of digital devices featuring removable flash memory card slots has increased dramatically in the past few years, so has the number of cards owned by individual consumers," said Chris Chute, manager with IDC's digital imaging practice. "An image recovery application that recovers still images, video, and audio - but also works effectively with all manufacturer brands - is ideal."

Image Rescue 3 is available for download free of charge with purchase of all Lexar Professional and Platinum II CompactFlash®, Secure Digital™, and Secure Digital High Capacity™ memory cards. Image Rescue 3 is compatible with Windows 2000/XP (or higher) and Mac OS 10.2 (or higher), and recovers files from all popular flash memory card formats, including CompactFlash Type I and II, SmartMedia™, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick Pro™, Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, MultiMediaCard™, and xD-Picture Card™.

In addition to being included as value-added software on all Lexar Professional and Platinum II CF, SD, and SDHC memory cards, Image Rescue 3 will be available at photo specialty stores nationwide and for easy download at http://lexar.com/software/image_rescue.html for $29.95.
