New "FotoNation Brashov" Office Opens in Romania to Develop Core IP Technologies

Galway, Ireland, May 18, 2007-- FotoNation www.fotonation.com, a world-leading embedded imaging and connectivity solutions company for the digital photography industry, announced today the opening of FotoNation Brashov, FotoNation's new office in Brashov, Romania. The new office is dedicated to expanding FotoNation's offerings from software to hardware by delivering high performance chipset designs for embedded imaging products targeted for the digital camera and mobile camera phone markets.

Optimizes Software Offerings
The new FotoNation Brashov facility has a fully-staffed, experienced hardware engineering team that compliments FotoNation's existing embedded imaging research and development facilities in Bucharest, Romania; Galway, Ireland; and Burlingame, California. The Brashov team is developing core IP technologies which will be integrated into existing ASIC solutions for FotoNation's customers. The new hardware will provide optimized performance of the company's current embedded software offerings, including face detection and tracking, red-eye detection and removal, and motion deblurring, among the many FotoNation award-winning innovative imaging solutions.
