Improved Navigation and Exciting New Interactive Functions Highlight New Web Site

Secaucus, NJ (August 15, 2007) - Samsung Camera is proud to announce its new consumer Web site, at www.SamsungCameraUSA.com. Redesigned from the ground up, the new Samsung Web site puts an array of product information in a detailed and easy-to-navigate format right at users' fingertips, and seeks to engage visitors with exciting new interactive controls and enhanced flash animation.

"This was a significant project for the Samsung Web development team and we are very proud of what they were able to accomplish," said Stewart Henderson, Vice President Marketing, Samsung Opto Electronics America. "We feel that our customers and those interested in learning more about Samsung will appreciate the end result."

Advanced features of the new Samsung Camera Web site include a new Product Showroom that provides visitors with either an interactive 3D tour or a flash presentation of the camera of their choice. The 3D tour gives visitors the ability to essentially experience the cameras first hand without having to leave the comfort of their own home and the individual flash content presents the key product features of each camera in an exciting interactive format, of course topped off with Samsung's style and flare. Other key features include what's known as Club SOA, an enhanced product support section, and e-commerce capability that allows customers to purchase dedicated Samsung accessories such as batteries, pouches, cables and memory cards, directly through www.SamsungCameraUSA.com.

Club SOA is a new section of the Samsung Web site that presents visitors with links to Inspirations, Experience Tips, and SOAPHOTO.com, an online community where photographers can share their images, network, and even compete in a monthly photo contest to win various Samsung Camera prizes. Inspirations is a collection of some of the most significant undertakings in the world of professional photography and Experience Tips provides visitors with tips and how-to's from other fellow photographers ranging from amateurs to professionals. Experience Tips are taken directly from SOAPHOTO, where visitors can log-in and share their own useful tips with others.

Furthermore, with its new Web site Samsung Camera is embarking on a new form of customer support called Remote Service. By launching Remote Service, which can be found under the Support section of the Web site, users will be able to fix problems associated with linking their Samsung digital camera to their computer. By connecting the Samsung digital camera via USB cable, visitors can sit back, relax and let the Web site automatically correct errors associated with selecting the correct driver or the ability to view or download images to the computer.

Samsung Opto-Electronics America, Inc., Secaucus, N.J., is the U.S. subsidiary of Samsung Techwin Co., Ltd., Sungnam Kyungki-Do, Korea. Samsung Opto-Electronics markets a full line of auto focus cameras, zoom and digital cameras for the amateur as well as the professional under the Samsung brand name.
