PRESS RELEASE: StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus: A Big Plus for Digital Photos

RODERMARK, Germany -- 7 December 2007 -- H&M System Software is now offering StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus, a feature-rich update to its multiple award winning image editing and archiving software StudioLine Photo Classic. The update is available immediately at http://www.StudioLine.biz and is free for registered users of StudioLine Photo Classic 3.

Ambitious digital photographers and professionals win big with StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus: a clear user interface, optimized workflow, convenient loading, an ingenious security concept including non-destructive image editing, rapid keywording and efficient search functions, high quality, flexible printing and professional tools for image optimization.

StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus costs 42 pounds for a download version or 49 pounds for a CD version. The Christmas Special of 21 or 28 pounds will apply until Dec. 31.

Two years ago, H&M System Software introduced StudioLine Photo Classic 3. Since then, this integrated solution for professional image management and editing has gained many comprehensive practical enhancements, delivered as free of charge interim updates.

Clear User Interface and Optimized Workflow

The user interface can be customized to accommodate a wide variety of tasks. Settings can be saved for reuse at any time.

For quick reference, the histogram is now found at the top of the image editing bar. Individual image tool windows are scalable and feature optimized sliders; all edit panes can be displayed or hidden with a single click. This results in a maximized and neat work space for the user.

The one of a kind Copy button allows easy batch editing of large numbers of pictures. It's available for nearly all StudioLine functions.

Rapid Keywording and Description

The new time-saving function for assigning entire keyword groups boosts productivity. Templates for frequently used descriptor fields can be set up by defining them as drop-buckets when assigning keywords. A multiline editor simplifies the quick creation of entire keyword lists in a single step.

Offering speed and convenience, captions, titles and other descriptive information can be typed and spell-checked directly below each picture.

Efficient Search Functions

The photo search offers new options, including a search for a time span or file type. The image archive can be filtered according to any number of criteria -- from keywords to IPTC and Exif metadata, as well as image ratings. Frequently used image archive filter queries can now be saved.

The unique Timeline Explorer has been equipped with annual, monthly and daily views that can be restricted to specific folders.

Raw Support

StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus supports more than 250 Raw formats of various camera manufacturers, including the latest camera models. The StudioLine concept of loss-less editing enables users to experiment with image editing filters without worries -- the original images always remain unchanged.

Professional Image Editing Tools

The new filters Unsharp Mask, Selective Blur, Gaussian Blur and RGB Mixer supplement the comprehensive range of editing filters. Unsharp Mask allows image sharpening with a fine touch, Selective Blur is suitable for optimizing portraits and eliminating graininess and the RGB Mixer creates precise black and white variants of colour photos.

High Quality, Flexible Printing

Ready-made layouts produce high quality photo prints in the standard sizes. Special print requirements are accommodated with the Custom Print, which offers utmost flexibility. An integrated design center allows the creation of photo collages and other print projects, such as album pages, calendars, flyers and greetings cards.

Film Strips

The new film strips allow rapid navigation through the images to be exported. Additional sharpening and the compressing rate can be set for each picture in the individual preview.

Add-on Module DigitalXpress

The add-on module StudioLine DigitalXpress, newly introduced in November, widens the functional scope of StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus. With DigitalXpress, any number of images, sound files or videos can be exchanged quickly and easily via the DigitalXpress server or any other FTP server.

StudioLine Photo Classic 3 Plus supports Microsoft Windows Vista/XP/2000/ME and costs 42 pounds for a download version or 49 pounds for a CD version. The Christmas Special of 21 or 28 pounds will apply until Dec. 31.
