By Mike Pasini, The Imaging Resource

Improved recovery in contiguous mode, support for new cameras, support for non-Raw TIFFs and a few bug fixes highlight the new release.

DataRescue Manager Pierre Vandevenne has announced the release of a new version of its $29 PhotoRescue file recovery software optimized for image files.

"Key features include improved recovery in contiguous mode, support for Hasselblad H3D .3FR files, Nikon D3, Canon 40D and many other new cameras," he said. "We have fixed a few bugs and added support for "non-RAW" TIFF files. PhotoRescue 3.1.2 can also now be used from the command line, using the -quick, -backup and -advanced parameters."

We've updated the copies on our review to point to the new version. Purchase of PhotoRescue, which continues to outperform its competitors in our own independent testing, helps support Imaging Resource.
