SAN FRANCISCO -- Macworld Expo opens today, starting with the keynote by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. We'll have complete coverage later today.

But the early reports from the keynote, reveal a free software update for Apple TV that incorporates a new interface and new services.

We also get a glimpse of what's "in the air." The new MacBook Air, a compact MacBook with built-in WiFi and a solid state hard drive that's 0.16 inches thick. And still has a full-sized keyboard and screen.

We'll have more after we take a tour of the Expo floor this afternoon, including some notes on an interesting new image editing program. Stay tuned!
