PicsPlay DVD(TM) among PMA trade show highlights

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 31, 2008 Rimage (Nasdaq: RIMG), the industry-leading provider of on-demand digital content delivery in retail, today announced the company will showcase its PicsPlay DVD application at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) 2008 trade show.

PicsPlay DVD is a new feature for retail photo kiosks with Rimage digital output equipment that allows consumers to create custom DVD slideshows of their digital photos.

Instead of simply offering picture CDs to customers, retailers can now offer a full multimedia experience on a DVD, combining photos with a musical soundtrack and animated theme, while producing professional-quality packaging with photo thumbnails and full-color graphics.

Best of all, PicsPlay DVDs are playable on any standard home DVD player or computer capable of playing DVD movies.

"We are pleased to offer our retail customers a new photo product to help create a new and profitable revenue stream," said Manny Almeida, executive vice president, sales and marketing for Rimage. "We are excited about how PicsPlay DVD helps consumers view and archive their valuable memories, but even more excited by how this product will help families share their photos with anyone who has a DVD player."

Consumers can choose from eight themes - such as wedding, birthday or baby - to build a memorable photo slideshow with music, video clips and themed illustrations. Custom themes are available for each retailer, so that each retailer can offer something unique to their customers.

Creating a PicsPlay DVD is easy for consumers. The customer previews and chooses a theme, then selects which photos and videos to include. Then, the PicsPlay software automatically zooms and pans photos using face detection technology, and produces a personalized DVD case and disc label that coincides with the chosen theme.

In addition to PicsPlay DVD, Rimage also will share its new download-and-burn capabilities for digital video content, such as movies and TV shows. To showcase this new application, Rimage will have several content partners at PMA to demonstrate how consumers can burn video content directly to DVD using a retail-branded touch screen kiosk.

"We are pleased that our partners share our forward-thinking vision for digital content delivery, and we are very excited about the possibilities for ongoing collaboration," Almeida said. "Our existing retail customers can benefit from adding video content to their Rimage solution."

Rimage will demonstrate the PicsPlay DVD application and preview new downloadable digital content during PMA, Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 in the Las Vegas Convention Center at booth #R171.
