September 16, 2008 - FUJIFILM Europe GmbH (hereafter Fujifilm) and Xerox (Europe) Limited (hereafter Xerox) today announced the latest fruits of the alliance they established in 2007. This European alliance is based upon the global alliance agreed between Xerox Corporation in the U.S. and FUJIFILM Corporation in Japan.

Xerox and Fujifilm will be showing two new advanced photo product solutions for the professional lab market that utilise Xerox’s industry leading printing technology in conjunction with Fujifilm’s market-leading IP Labs photobook software. The first solution utilises the powerful new Xerox iGen4 Press, a digital press that can deliver offset-level print quality and produce consistent colour from the first page to the last, and is aimed at centralised processing or imaging centres and graphic communication printers that produce photo books. The second solution utilises the new Xerox 700 Digital Colour Press providing an ideal solution for smaller independent photolabs or higher volume retailers. These solutions build on the already announced Fujfilm Kiosk Photobook Solution.

Xerox and Fujifilm now offer a wide range of solutions for photolabs and retailers of all sizes. These solutions run new revenue-generating personalised applications such as photo books, calendars and greeting cards. Xerox and Fujfilm will continue to develop solutions for the photographic market place, offering the best digital printing solutions available.

To support these solutions Xerox offers a new multi-language business development resource collection - the Xerox Picture Me Profitable Kit. The kit is available in six languages and contains sales, marketing and operational resources to help photo labs, photo retailers and digital print providers design, market and produce a range of lucrative photo specialty products on Xerox digital printers.
