Interactive “BobCars” Demonstrate Proof that Olympus Enables Consumers to Capture It All

CENTER VALLEY, Pa., December 4, 2008 – Olympus’ Mobile Demonstration Showrooms powered by BobCar® are anything but pedestrian as they provide holiday shoppers with hands-on demonstrations of the company’s latest digital compact cameras, digital single lens reflex (SLR) cameras and voice recorders on Manhattan sidewalks this holiday season. The three approachable three-wheeled, energy-efficient mini-vehicles will engage and inform consumers as they have fun interacting with Olympus’ products right on the streets of Manhattan through December 23.

“Olympus’ products are built for active lifestyles, enabling consumers to be a part of the action and it’s in this same spirit that we’re bringing the products to them,” said Mark Huggins, executive director, Brand Marketing, Olympus Imaging America Inc. “Consumers will enjoy the unique interaction, and the roving boutiques will visit strategic locations near stores where consumers can purchase Olympus products.”
