In time for the Christmas holidays Momail launches a Flickr add-on making photo sharing and photo search from the mobile easier than ever.

Stockholm, Sweden. December 17, 2008 - Momail (www.momail.com) has launched Flickr integration to its popular mobile email service that enhances photo sharing and searching using the mobile phone. Just by simply sending an email message, the end-user now can upload photos from their camera phone, search and download public and private photos and receive information on recent updates from friends and family.

All photos sent to the mobile via the Flickr search and download functions are automatically optimized for the individual handset via Momail's patented MMOPE-technology. Thus, photos download quickly and save up to 99.9% of mobile data.

How it works - a few examples
First, simply activate Flickr on Momail under "On-demand" in your Momail account, and then it's ready to go. This activation enables single sign-on and authentication required to reach the private Flickr pages.

  • Upload photos. Send 1-5 pictures attached to an email to [email protected] (where xx is your country domain) from your mobile. Words added in "Subject" will be the title of your photo. A description can be included in the message body.

  • Search public photos. Send an email to [email protected], add the search word/s in the subject field and you will get an email back with the search result and the three top matched pictures optimized for your specific mobile model.

  • Search private photos. Send an email to [email protected], write "download + keyword(s)" in the subject field and you will get an email back with the search result and the five top matched pictures.

  • Help and status. Via simple keywords sent to [email protected] the user will get immediate help and status of their Flickr account.

"In time for the Christmas holidays, we are happy to present this very useful and fun to use add-on to the Momail service. Now all Momail and Flickr users can update and search their photo communities on the go. This integration showcases another innovative use of the Momail platform and its patented technology, giving users the fastest, easiest and most cost-effective mobile email solution available on the market. Next year more value added services and countries will be added to the Momail family", says Kenneth Lundin, CEO of Momail.
