Ricoh has today released updated firmware for its CMOS sensor-based CX1 digital camera.

Ricoh CX1 firmware v1.19 follows closely in the footsteps of the previous v1.16, issued just three weeks ago. There's but one update, as compared to that version. When running versions prior to v1.19, the camera could sometimes power down without retracting the lens when the battery ran out. This has now been rectified.

For more details on how to check your current version number, how to install new firmware, what changes were made in previous releases, and to download firmware version 1.19 for the CX1, visit Ricoh's CX1 download page.
