Lens_Align-Logo.150x44.jpg PRESS RELEASE: Tapes Upgrades LensAlign With Long Ruler Kit

New kit includes a four-foot ruler and expanded focus target for the focus calibration system.

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- May 4 -- Michael Tapes, founder of RawWorkFlow.com and inventor of the LensAlign Focus Calibration Systems, today announced the availability of the much anticipated LongRuler Kit for LensAlign Pro beginning May 18.

Long Ruler

The LRK, which includes both a large ruler (approximately three inches by four feet) and an expanded focus target, provides the capability to test, adjust and measure the focus performance of lens/distance combinations which exhibit Depth of Field values that exceed the capabilities of the standard LensAlign ruler. This includes telephoto lenses at long test distances as well as wide-angle lenses.

The LRK is an option and can be fitted to any LensAlign Pro system. The LRK may also be purchased in combination with LensAlign Pro, as the "LensAlign Pro Plus," available May 18. Special upgrade pricing is available to existing LensAlign Pro Owners.

Enumerator

Also announced is the addition of the Enumerator to LensAlign Pro, also beginning May 18. The Enumerator allows LensAlign Pro to display both the distance and AF Adjustment setting of the camera, such that they are captured photographically in each test shot made with LensAlign Pro.

The Enumerator will become an integral part of the Pro system starting May 18 and available to existing Pro customers for a nominal shipping/handling charge.

According to Founder and CTO Michael Tapes, "With the addition of the LongRuler Kit and the Enumerator, we now offer the complete solution to measuring the focus performance for all your camera bodies and lenses, including wide-angles and long teles. Both were in the LensAlign product road map from day one, but its design had to wait until LensAlign Pro was completely finished. And then its design proved more problematic that one would think at first glance. It was actually quite a challenge, but I am really thrilled with the way it turned out. I regret that it took so long, but I think our customers will be really pleased."
