Olympus Japan has today released updated firmware for its E-P1 Micro Four Thirds digital camera, as well as its 17mm and 14 - 42mm M.ZUIKO lenses.

The updates bring the Olympus P1 camera body and both lenses to firmware version 1.1, and are intended to be applied simultaneously. In all cases, the intent of the firmware updates is said to be improved contrast-detection autofocus operation.

Information on how to update to the latest firmware versions for the Olympus E-P1 body, M.ZUIKO Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 lens, and M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 17mm F2.8 lens is available from the Olympus Japan website.
