Japan's Ricoh Co. Ltd. has today announced an updated firmware release for its nine megapixel CX2 digital camera.

Ricoh CX2 firmware v1.13 includes two changes that aim to prevent possible problems in operation. An issue whereby the zoom lever could cause the camera to power off when step zoom was enabled has been corrected. Similarly, the company has resolved a problem in manual focus mode, which could cause the enlarged manual focus aid to black out.

The new firmware, as well as details on how to check your camera's current firmware version and to apply the firmware update if necessary, can be found on Ricoh's website.
