Japan's Cosina Co. Ltd. is preparing to release Canon EF-mount variants of two Voigtländer lenses, according to its website.

The Voigtländer Ultron 40mm F2 SLII Aspherical and Voigtländer Color Skopar 20mm F3.5 SLII Aspherical lenses are both currently available in Nikon F-Mount AI-S and Pentax KA-mount versions priced at ¥50,000 (US$550) and ¥55,000 (US$610) respectively. Both new lens variants will carry a modest premium over the existing models when they go on sale. Canon EF-mount version of the Ultron 40mm lens will be available in Japan later this month, with a ¥53,000 (US$585) pricetag, while the EF-mount Skopar 20mm will follow in November priced at ¥58,000 (US$640).

Both lenses are pancakes with a nine-bladed apertures. The Voigtländer Ultron 40mm F2 SLII Aspherical capable of focusing as close as 25 centimeters. The Nikon F-mount version has a depth of 24.5mm, and weighs 200 grams. The Voigtländer Color Skopar 20mm F3.5 SLII Aspherical, meanwhile, is capable of focusing to 20 centimeters. The Nikon F-mount version is 28.8mm deep, and weighs 205 grams. Both lenses have a diameter of 63mm, and accept 52mm filters.
