Reaches key agreement with Microsoft for promotion and advertising sales

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Nov. 9, 2009 — photoWALL, an exciting new showcase of mobile devices, real-time web technology and user-generated content, announced today its global launch. photoWALL enables an unlimited number of media channels (or WALLs) and displays them live as they happen. Mobile users can easily send live photos, user-entered tags, geo-tags and VoiceTags to an attractive, searchable web site for public, network or private viewing. photoWALL also features simultaneous live uploading of mobile media to Facebook, Flickr and Twitter.

photoWALL is a free service. Its initial technology trial generated over a quarter million photos taken from over 100 countries. Users must have access to their cellular data service or a WiFi connection.

“photoWALL introduces a new social networking category,” said CEO Mark Haverkate. “We guarantee only live content is posted on our Global Wall, while our unique QC process assures all photos are family-friendly. By enabling each user or company to define and control both the contributors to, and the viewers of, their own branded photoWALL, we open a unique new opportunity for family interaction, organizational communication and corporate brand engagement.”

In India, photoWALL is available as a co-branded site at http://msn.photowall.com. MSN India is a key channel partner and is managing the advertising sales on the co-branded site. “In today’s ever-connected world, photoWALL is a powerful new medium to communicate and stay updated. Its ability to leverage the ubiquity of photographs is amazing, and we are excited about the new horizons it opens up for consumers,” said Sanjay Trehan, Head - MSN India, Consumer & Online Business, Microsoft India.

“We recognize there are other mobile photo apps in the market, but we are unique because we are both a live content feeder to the most popular social network and photography sites, as well as a unique web destination for an entirely new way to tag, search, combine and use mobile media,” said Apoorva Ruparel - photoWALL VP Strategy & Marketing. “Teaming with Microsoft for advertising sales and promotional marketing allows us to greatly increase our awareness, mobile usage, and web traffic.”
