The young, high-growth company behind the Gorillapod, Gorillamobile, and Gorillatorch product lines expands its team and its commitment to product design, brand, and customer-service

Joby is excited to announce two new additions to its senior management team effective January 19, 2010. The Company is focused on accelerating its incredible growth in 2009, following a record fourth quarter in which the Company, on a preliminary reporting basis, recorded more than $7 million in sales, representing a growth rate of 60% over the fourth quarter of 2008. Joby is currently making considerable investments in its team and global infrastructure to achieve its goals of continually releasing well-designed product solutions, initiating unique and creative brand marketing activities, and supporting its customers.

“Scott and Sargon add a tremendous amount of collective marketing, sales, business development, and operations experience,” said Forrest Baringer-Jones, Joby’s CEO. “They also share a common DNA with the rest of the Joby team that is committed to thoughtful and user-centric product design, unique marketing initiatives, and customer delight.”

As Joby’s VP Marketing, Scott Ellis is responsible for product and outbound marketing efforts on a global basis. Scott brings over 15 years of brand and business-building experience at world-class consumer companies including Disney, Starbucks, Microsoft, and Method. Most recently, Scott led New Ventures & Strategic Partnerships at Method Products, Inc., where he focused on strategic marketing and business initiatives to grow the Method brand. Prior to Method, Scott held various marketing and strategy leadership positions at Microsoft, Starbucks, and The Walt Disney Company.

Sargon Eshagh joins the Company as VP Sales - Americas and will be responsible for growing the Company’s Americas-based sales and distribution channels. Sargon brings to his position two decades of experience in technology sales and channel marketing with an emphasis on innovative consumer products. Most recently, Eshagh served as Vice President of Sales for Creative Labs, where he was responsible for driving the company's Americas sales.
