"The 2010 Digital Life Expo is a great opportunity to interact directly with 14,000 consumers and, as we do with our marketing and in-store campaigns, inspire people to get involved with creative photography and image making,” said Darren Ryan, General Manager – Product Marketing, Consumer, Canon Australia. "Digital imaging is firmly established as a centrepiece in the Australian lifestyle and, as the category leader, Canon’s focussed on meeting strong consumer demand for high image quality and broad creative potential. We’re constantly surprised by how creative consumers are becoming around digital imaging and, when they understand the full potential of their devices, they adapt at a phenomenal pace."

Cementing Canon’s leadership from digital cameras to inkjet printing*1, in April, five Canon products were recognised with “Best Product 2010” awards by the prestigious Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), representing 29 photography and imaging magazines across 13 European countries. Canon will be showcasing the five award-winning products on its stand: the EOS 550D and EOS 7D digital SLR cameras, the PowerShot G11 compact digital camera, the PIXMA MP990 inkjet printer, and the imagePROGRAF iPF6350 large-format inkjet printer.

Canon will also be participating at two of the panel sessions being held throughout the show:

Jason Mclean, Senior General Manager, Indirect Sales will discuss the trends in the digital photography market, including the drivers of product innovation.

  • Sunday, 6 June at 11am: The leading edge in imaging technology
