National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) logo. PRESS RELEASE: National Association of Photoshop Professionals Takes the Lead in Lightroom 3 Training

NAPP offers innovative Lightroom 3 training resources with the Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 3 Learning Center, a new Lightroom 3 book from Scott Kelby, and a Lightroom Conference at Photoshop World.

TAMPA, FL -- June 8, 2010 -- Today, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) launched its new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Learning Center, in conjunction with Adobe’s official Lightroom 3 launch.

The NAPP Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Learning Center is open to the public and offers new in-depth tutorials on the most talked about features including: the new import dialog, tethered capture, improved noise reduction, lens correction, the new grain feature, and more.

“We’re all excited about the newest changes in Lightroom,” said Scott Kelby, founder of NAPP, editor-in-chief of Photoshop User magazine, and president of Kelby Media Group. “Adobe really listened to their end users and the result is a program that revolutionizes workflow and allows the photographer to spend more time behind the lens instead of in front of a computer.”

In addition to the new online learning center, Kelby’s new book, The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Book for Digital Photographers is now available for pre-order at Kelby Training and will be shipping soon. The new edition of this bestseller is completely updated for Lightroom 3 and features new material, including Kelby’s famous “Seven Point System” completely tailored for Lightroom 3.

People who pre-order this book from Kelby Training will also receive an added bonus, a CD ROM from NAPP trainer and author, Matt Kloskowski, containing all the Lightroom presets featured on his Lightroom Killer Tips blog. The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Killer Presets CD also features videos from Matt on how to install presets in Lightroom 3 and how to create presets of your own.

NAPP is also pleased to announce that this year’s Photoshop World Conference & Expo (September 1-3, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas) offers a special Lightroom 3 Conference with 13 new classes taught by industry pros from Adobe, NAPP, and Kelby Training. Instructors are Adobe Product Manager Bryan Hughes, Adobe Evangelist Julieanne Kost, Adobe Technical Resources Manager Terry White, pro photographer Chris Orwig, and NAPP Lightroom experts Matt Kloskowski and Rafael Concepcion.

Classes include:  Getting Organized in Lightroom, Lightroom for Wedding/Portrait Photographers, Develop Module Boot Camp in Lightroom 3, Getting a Great Print in Lightroom 3, Importing & Managing Your Images in Lightroom 3, and 10 Ways to Make Lightroom Work for You.
