PicturePaste announces a new version of their cloud computing utility aimed to help users of Gmail, Google Docs, Wordpress, Hotmail and others.

PicturePaste is a desktop utility that integrates the Windows desktop clipboard with cloud-based editors, such as Gmail, Google Docs and just about all web-based editors.

Charles Moir, founder and CEO of PicturePaste says "Cloud-based solutions are the future, but there are areas where products such as Google Docs, Gmail are less productive than traditional desktop software. The inability to copy and paste graphics and images from desktop apps into cloud-based editors is one of them. We were so frustrated by this we created a product that solves the problem."

With PicturePaste installed you can copy any picture, graphic, screen capture or photo from any desktop application, such as Word, Adobe reader, or Photoshop, and paste this directly into any cloud-based editor, such as Gmail, Google Docs editor, Wordpress or others.

This new release of PicturePaste includes the ability to resize and crop image or screen captures, prior to pasting into Gmail etc, and it supports a wider range of image types. It also introduces a new Enterprise 'private server' version that can work behind company firewalls.

PicturePaste allows easy pasting of screen captures, photo files (including TIFF, PNG and other common formats) directly into web-based rich text editors, including these products;

  • Gmail

  • Google Docs word processor

  • ZOHO web-based word processor

  • WordPress, Blogger blogging tools

  • Hotmail, Yahoo mail

  • ..and just about all web-based rich text editors.

PicturePaste provides a free trial version, premium and Enterprise-wide versions, and now offers new Enterprise site-wide licenses, costing as little $2 per user (for larger Enterprises).

CentiMark Corporation is North America's largest independent roofing contractor and has recently deployed Gmail company wide.

Greg Wilson, CIO of Centimark said "We recently deployed Gmail to 800 staff within CentiMark, and missed the ability to paste screen prints into email as we had previously done with our old email solution. We deployed the PicturePaste private server version inside Centimark. This not only gives us back the ability to paste screens directly into Gmail, but the crop and resize feature makes it easier and more flexible than before."
