Hamburg -- Rollei will be presenting a whole new generation of slide and photo scanners at the IFA and Photokina trade shows this year. As the market leader in this product segment in Germany, Rollei is continuing to focus on versatile, easy-to-use scanners that stand out thanks to high scanning speeds. Photo treasures from the past can thus be digitalised quickly and easily.

Rollei is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, and introducing some new special edition scanners with an extended range of accessories to mark this special occasion. This includes additional trays for holding negatives, slides or photos. These accessories increase convenience while making the fast digitalisation of photos even easier.

The latest highlight in Rollei’s scanner portfolio is the DF-S 190 SE with a 9-megapixel sensor and a scan resolution of 3600 dpi, which provides photo fans with exceptionally detailed digital images. In addition to colour negatives and loose slides, the DFS 190 SE, which includes a 2.4-inch colour display, can also scan framed slides. And thanks to the special scanning tray, up to 20 slides per minute can be digitalised. In order to ensure optimal scan results, both exposure and colour balance can be manually adjusted.

The DF-S 190 SE can also be used as a standalone device; a USB stick or SD/MMC card is all that is needed to save the images. The newly-digitalised photos can be transferred to a PC (Windows 2000 or higher) or Mac (OS 10.4 or higher) or viewed on a television via the “TVout” port. The recommended retail price is 149.95 Euros.

Rollei’s DF-S 120 SE is the smaller brother of the DFS 190 SE and includes a 5-megapixel sensor and folding 2.4-inch colour TFT LCD display, which can be used to view slides or negatives directly with 1800 or 3600 dpi. The DF-S 120 SE special edition also includes the photo editing software “Arcsoft Photoimpression 6”. This allows you to easily edit your photos on a computer after they have been digitalised. The recommended retail price is 99.95 Euros.
