World-Renowned Photographer David duChemin to Offer Insight on How to Use Visual Language to Create Expressive Photography

Ramsey, N.J. (August 27, 2010) — Manfrotto School of Xcellence, a free resource for anyone who wants to learn more about photography, is proud to announce a free webinar entitled, “IMPACT & INFORMATION: Understanding and using the visual language to create compelling, intentional photographs that express your vision.” The free webinar will take place on Wednesday, September 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT. The host, Canadian photographer David duChemin, will discuss how to go beyond the technicalities of photography to create effective and unique stories with a camera.

David duChemin is a Vancouver-based international assignment photographer, specializing in world and humanitarian photography. His passion has led him to travel the world in pursuit of inspirational images of beauty, dignity, and hope. His work on behalf of organizations like World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to tackling poverty and injustice, has raised millions of dollars for sustainable development and education in poverty-stricken countries. duChemin also devotes his time to teaching and leading photography workshops around the world, and is the best-selling author of Within the Frame, The Journey of Photographic Vision.

This webinar will provide participants with expert advice on how to create images that are both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally moving. duChemin will also give tips on how to shoot intentionally and ensure that every element contributes to the depth of the photograph. In addition, he will offer insight into optics, shutter speeds, aperture, and framing, giving participants the means to create a more compelling photograph.
