PRESS RELEASE: Kodak PlayTouch Zi10: New firmware

Eastman Kodak Co. has released updated firmware for its PlayTouch Zi10 flash camcorder for both Windows and Macintosh users.

Two versions of the firmware update are available, depending on whether your PlayTouch Zi10 is currently running firmware version 1.02 or earlier, or v1.13 or later. Customers with v1.02 or earlier on their Zi10 will want to download the v1.18-102 update for either Macintosh or Windows PCs, as appropriate. The v1.18-113 update, meanwhile, is applicable to the v1.13+ Zi10, and is likewise available on both platforms.

In either case, the firmware makes the same changes. The Recording Time Remaining indicator on the camcorder's LCD display should have greater accuracy, microphone response has been improved, and the incidence of lockups / freezes during operation of the Zi10 has been reduced.
