LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., November 18, 2010 – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, is proud to announce another award-winning year, chock full of many new product announcements and a variety of key industry distinctions. Among the Company’s key awards, Canon U.S.A. was honored for the seventh consecutive year by PCMag.com with the 2010 Readers Choice Award for Service and Reliability for digital cameras and printers and also garnered its second consecutive “Center of Excellence” award from BenchmarkPortal1 for The Systems and Technical Support Division.

In addition to the prestigious industry awards, several new products and product lines were honored with multiple distinctions throughout the year from outlets such as Time.com, American Photo, Computer Shopper and Digitaltrends.com as well as Outstanding Achievement Awards from Buyers Laboratory (BLI), a leading independent office equipment test lab.

Building upon an already impressive lineup of award-winning compact cameras and DSLRs, the groundbreaking Canon EOS 5D Mark II was selected as one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 Gadgets of All Time, the Canon EOS 7D was honored with a Professional Photographer’s 2010 Hot One Awards and the Canon EOS Rebel T2i received an Editor’s Choice Award from PCMag.com. In addition, the Canon PowerShot S95 garnered an Editor’s Choice Awards from Digitaltrends.com and American Photo, while the PowerShot A3000 IS received four out of five stars from PCMag.com. The Canon VIXIA HF S20 flash-memory camcorder also received an Editor’s Choice award from Digital Trends and the VIXIA HF S21 was honored with an Editor’s Choice from Popular Mechanics.

Canon’s PIXMA, SELPHY and imagePROGRAF printer lines all received recognition from key outlets such as PCMag.com with the Editor’s Choice for the PIXMA MG8120, Computer Shopper’s Editor’s Choice distinction for the PIXMA MG6120 and MG5220 as well as Professional Photographer’s 2010 Hot One Awards for the PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II and SELPHY CP790. Earlier in the year, the imagePROGRAF iPF8300, iPF6350 and iPF6300 large format printers, as well as the imageFORMULA P-150/P-150M, all received Five-Star Exceptional ratings from BERTL, an industry leading independent testing laboratory. Additionally, Canon’s business printer and MFP portfolios received Outstanding Achievement for Energy Efficiency Awards from BLI for the Canon Color imageCLASS MF8350Cdn, imageCLASS D1180 and imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5035. BLI also rated the imageCLASS LBP6300dn and LBP6650dn as “Highly Recommended” and the Color imageCLASS LBP7200Cdn as “Reliability Certified”.
