DSG unveils the Social Media Photo Story Application at Mobile World Congress

BARCELONA, SPAIN – February 14, 2011 – muvee Device Solutions Group [DSG], the pioneer and leader in video editing applications for mobile devices, today announced the launch of the Social Media Photo Story application for Android operating systems.

The latest Android application from DSG allows tablet and mobile users to create live interactive slideshows with photos pulled directly from the mobile device as well as social media sites including Facebook, Flickr, and shwup. Data is pulled from photos where applicable including comments, likes and photo locations and is only available in full-screen mode. Music can be added from the device as well and incorporated in to the live slideshow. A real-time Twitter feed and the date and time are displayed within the moving background.

Users have the option to select photos from personal Facebook albums as well as friends’ albums and from personal shwup albums as well as albums the user has been invited to.

“Photos have become a quick and personal way to update one another. However, due to the immense volume that’s shared today, users don’t have enough time to consume all this content. Our Social Media PhotoStory app helps fill this need by automatically pulling photos from various sources and presenting them in an unobtrusive, yet professional looking, slideshow. Users can reach out and touch on any one photo to find out more, or just let it slide by until the next interesting shot comes along,” says Terence Swee, Founder and CEO, muvee.

The application has two modes which determine which photos are used. The “reminisce” mode pulls past photos including your oldest albums. The “update” mode will select photos only from the past week. These modes allow the user different experiences while helping them discover new content within their online sphere of influence.

The app is also now available for license to handset makers, operators and tablet docking accessories manufacturers. To see a demo of the application please visit [insert YouTube link – if we can make it live]. For more information please visit http://devices.muvee.com/.
