It's Olympus Review Day at the Digital Camera Resource Page, as two of the company's latest cameras go under Jeff's 'microscope'... ;)

Our good friend Jeff Keller has today posted not one, but two new reviews at the Digital Camera Resource Page. Jeff starts off with the first review we've seen on Olympus' 10x optical zoom C-700 UltraZoom, a camera that was announced on March 19th:
"With the C-700 Ultra Zoom, Olympus has taken the already very good C-2000/3000 series, and popped a 10X optical zoom in it -- and the results are very positive. Yes, there's that problem with chromatic aberrations, but you won't notice in most situations. But overall, this little camera with the very big zoom takes superb pictures, is fairly easy-to-use, and packs a lot of features into it's silver body."
This is followed up by a review of the Olympus C-3040Z:
"Olympus took the already excellent C-3030Z and added a new lens and a few other features, and have made it even better. If you've got a C-3000Z or C-3030Z, I wouldn't run out to buy a C-3040Z, as the differences aren't that great. However, if you're looking for your first digital camera, or upgrading, then the C-3040Z is near the top of my list for 3 Megapixel cameras. The C-3040Z is easy to use, well-designed, feature-packed, and it takes great pictures to boot. I highly recommend it!"
Be sure to read both reviews for a good look at camera design and control, and an array of sample photos if you're considering buying these cameras... When you're done, get a second opinion on the Olympus C-3040Z from our own full review, and even more info and opinions from the Steve's Digicams review, as well as that from the Digital Photography Review, and a first look from the folks at the Digital Eye website.
