Dave gets hands-on with Canon's new 3x zoom, 2.1 megapixel 'value priced' digicam...
Based on what we're seeing from several manufacturers, the low/mid range of digicams has never looked so good. The latest camera we've reviewed is the Canon PowerShot A20, a midrange 2.1 megapixel camera with a 3x zoom lens. This model uses the same "color engine" as the ultra-mini S300 we reviewed back in early April. We were very impressed with the color quality and resolution of the S300, and the A20 appears to follow very much in its footsteps. No two ways about it, the A20 simply takes beautiful pictures! Aimed at the point & shoot market, the A20 lacks sophisticated exposure modes like aperture- and shutter-priority, and its low light capability is limited. For routine picture-taking though, it looks like an excellent choice - Highly Recommended! Check the review for full details!
