New camera announcements aplenty!

Japan gets busy, with four new digital cameras announced...

We're aware of the four new digital cameras announced by our friend Yamada Kumio on his digitalcamera.gr.jp website today - thanks to the readers who've emailed us about this... I'm unfortunately feeling pretty sick today, but am working at this moment to get all four cameras into our database, and news coverage prepared. In brief, the cameras are as follows:
  • Pentax Optio 330: World's smallest 3 megapixel, 3x zoom digital camera. This is the same camera we showed you back in March; now it has a name and full specs.
  • Fuji FinePix 50i:Successor to Fuji's FinePix 40i, this camera has the same CCD and lens, but a lighter chassis with new lens-cover, a new MP3 remote control, and a new docking cradle, amongst other changes.
  • Konica Digital Revio KD-300Z: The world's smallest 3 megapixel, 2x zoom digital camera (looks to be an exact tie with the Kyocera Finecam S3).
  • Konica Digital Revio KD-200Z: 2.11 megapixel, 3x optical zoom digital camera, this is the same as the KD-200Z which we showed you at PMA last February, but looks to have undergone some significant styling changes since then.
Watch for more on these cameras as the day progresses! Of the four cameras, the Fuji will ship next month in Japan, and the other three will ship in July...
