The manual-focus-only Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 is designed to cover a 35mm frame, built to ''old-school'' specifications that guarantee compatibility with older camera bodies. A small-sized medium-range fixed telephoto lens, the 85mm f/1.8 is the little brother to the larger 85mm f/1.4.
