Lens has nine elements in seven groups, three aspheric elements. Optical viewfinder has diopter adjustment (-2 to +1dp). 12-bit analog/digital converter. Has built-in microphone and speaker. LCD screen has brightness and hue adjustment. Battery life claimed at 100 minutes with LCD on using EN-EL1 battery. 'Clear Image mode' at resolutions of 1280 x 960 pixels or lower claimed to offer more accurate color, low noise, smooth edges and wide dynamic range. Has 3:2 resolution mode (2560 x 1700 pixels). Burst mode is 3fps up to 3 frames, or 1.5fps up to 8 frames. High-speed burst is 5fps at VGA, XGA or SXGA. Ultra-fast burst mode is 30fps at 320x240 pixels up to 100 frames. Multi-shot 16 captures up to 16 images at 5fps. Choice of 5-area multi or spot autofocus, with continuous or single AF modes.
